Exploring Dunedin, New Zealand

Dunedin is part of South Island. The weather here is so nice. I spent my birthday this year in this beautiful city and here are the list of things you can do here:

1. Walk around and enjoy beautiful architecture in Dunedin.

My favorite is the First Church of Otago. It looks exquisite and glorious.

The most photographed building (and the second one in southern hemisphere) in New Zealand is the Railway station.

Inside the Railway station are art galleries which you can check out for free

2. Ride one of the world’s best train trip – Taieri Gorge Railway. For $89, me and my partner tried the 4 hour return trip from Dunedin to Pukerangi. Check out other trips and train schedule here.

You can see sheeps, cows and horses during the first few minutes of the ride.

Lots of bridges and tunnels on this trip too!

Here is a house that survived the great flood in 1800s

There are stopovers during the trip, this is the first one in Hindon.

Second half of the trip you will see this cool gorges.

And lots of wild sheeps and pig here as well...

3. Take a tour around Cadbury World. See here for the list of tours and schedule. Cadbury World is just in front of the Railway Station.

Phones and cameras are not allowed inside the factory.

There are trivias during the tour and if you answer them right, you will be given some chocolates!!! Don't worry if you don't answer any though, you still get some goodies!
